I learned from wokkingmum on cooking the Cranberry Beans with pork ribs soup. I love this soup due to the nutrient that I can find in the beans and the yummy taste of it.
Cranberry beans are also known as Borlotti beans one of the tastiest and most classic Italian beans. In Chinese, it is called pearl bean ( 珍珠豆). Use the thumb to pop open the fresh-picked speckled pods.
The cranberry bean is an oval to round, ivory and dark red to brown speckled and blotched bean. It comes in a pod very similar, streaked ivory and dark red. The beans and pods are just about the same size as a large string bean.
Put 300g Pork Ribs, 5 cups Cranberry Beans and 2 litres in a pot and bring to a boil for 2.5 hours. When boil, add salt to taste.
It is that simple to cook the cranberry beans with pork ribs soup. You can also combine the cranberry beans with lotus roots, carrots, tomatoes, potatoes, sweet corns or pumpkin to make the soup that you like.
The rest of the dishes on last weekend were stir fried broccoli and carrots with bacon, vegetable (egg plants and carrots ) in Japanese curry.

Benefits: All type of beans including the cranberry beans, are also great choices. All beans are low in fat, low in kilojoules, and are high in dietary fibre. Beans, although plant foods, are very high in protein, and thus serve as a meat-alternative for vegetarians. Beans are categorised into the vegetable group and also the meat group.
