Besides, there are chance to be invited to attend the Nuffnang Friso Gold Family Day Out on 2nd January 2010 at Kizsports & Gym, 1 Utama.

All you need to is to upload a photo of the children and arm them with the proper defensed widget. Then download the photo like the photo below and write a blog post on how to improve the children's immune system. I have 10 best ways to improve my children's immune system.

1. Well balance diet

To optimize the performance of the children body's defenses, the children need to eat foods that are rich in protein, vitamins and minerals. Avoid sugar and other junk foods, including chemical-laden packaged food. A balanced diet rich in vegetables and fruits and low in fat and sugar is a surefire way to help the immune system to perform at its peak. Most fruits and vegetables contain antioxidants that fight off free radicals, which damage body cells. 2. Drink plenty of fluid.

If the children like to drink plain water, then I have no headache. Despite the number of reminders, children still aren't getting enough water! So, I will boil them variety of soups, Chrysanthemum tea or Barley on the weekends. Weekdays, I will increase the fluid intake by making them honey and Ribena, as fluid is essential to help flushing wastes and toxins out of their body.3. Full night's sleep and afternoon nap.

Sleep has been linked to the child's growth hormone, keeping clear thinking, reasoning, improved mood, and healthy body as a whole. Rest is a major key in boosting and maintaining a healthy immune system. Children need more rest because their bodies are working hard at growing. I always make sure my children gets adequate sleep every night and nap every afternoon in a healthy, safe and peaceful environment.

4. Wash hands

I always remind my children to wash their hands before and after grabbing their food. I will also bring sanitizer and wet tissues whenever we go out. Hand washing is the best way to prevent the spread of illnesses. Germs from coughing, rubbing the eyes, nose and mouth can be spread to other people by the hands. Hand washing helps decrease the number of germs that can be spread.

5. Take supplements

No matter how many nutritious foods the children eat, there is a big chance that they may still lack the right amount of vitamins and minerals they need everyday to maintain a healthy immune system. Thus, it is always best to take supplements of vitamins and minerals. I let my children take fish oil and vitamin C everyday. Over the time, my children have built up better immunity towards flu and cold. If they caught sick, they would also recover in less than a week time.

6. Regular exercise is a must

More people are living sedentary lives, thanks to the popularity of the Internet, computer games and television programs as major forms of entertainment. Even kids nowadays are more addicted to computer games or televisions programs than playing baseball, running after dogs or flying kites. As a result of lack of exercise, children are becoming prone to contracting diseases, such as cold and flu. Exercise is important in building up the immune cells in their body. Boost their immunity by allowing them to do regular exercises, at least three times a week. Strolling in the park, cycling or even dancing are some activities that can already be considered as exercises. 7. Clean air

Pollution is one of the reasons behind the decline in the performance of the children's immune system. As a result, they become more susceptible to diseases and infection. To strengthen their body's defenses, we need to ensure that the children breathe in fresh air. It is important to note that oxygen is important in cell regeneration and other bodily functions, so we need to find ways to breathe in clean air and avoid fumes and smoke from cars, trucks and other sources. We invested in the air sterilizer and had it fix in the children room.8. Be happy

A happy child is a healthy child. Try laughing. I laugh with the children and allow the children to see me laughing with others. Laughing triggers the release of endorphins which encourages an overall sense of well-being. This is because painful emotions like anger and grief can impair health, laughter does the opposite. A real belly laugh increases infection-fighting antibodies and boosts natural killer-cell activity. Laughter also increases circulation, stimulates digestion, lowers blood pressure and reduces muscle tension. When the children are happy, they are far less likely to get sick. 9.Unconditional parental love

Parents have to touch and hug the children more, the children will feel loved and secured when they are touched and hugged frequently by the parents. The caress and hugs from the parents is essential to make the children feel acknowledged and be more positive. The unconditional parental love is able to release their stress and stimulate the immune system. As stress can deplete a child's immune system the same way it can an adult's. Usually children do not know how to handle stress so they tend to internalize it, which leads to worry and lack of sleep.
