Today is the Wesak Day, and it is also my 9th Chinese Lunar Wedding Anniversary. My wedding reception was held on Wesak day in year 2002. I have no plan for this evening, except going to the Buddhist temple to make donation.
However, my two princesses and I were taking part in the Wesak Street Parade on Sunday. This is the first time we represented the AMD Buddhist Society in the parade.
The weather was extremely good on Sunday evening. It was raining from 1pm to 6.30pm. The parade was started at 8pm. Though, we were touring the street for 2 hours, we didn't sweat even a little. The air was so cooling and clean after the big pour of 5 continuous hours in the noon.
There were about 10 Buddhist associations joining the parade.
Below were some of the decorated floats that I could capture before the parade started.
This was the float that we escorting that evening.
The young devotees.
April and May were so excited in the parade. They were so happy until they forget about the long distance walking, and I was happy also, as I could burn extra calories that evening.
Happy Anniversary to my husband.
Happy Wesak Holiday, folks.
