Nothing compares to books

*Edited*
We bought them 7 books, April has finished reading 3 books there before coming back home.

During our trip to KL last week, we went into Toys' RUs.
I said to my girls, "Look and see, no buying". They would come out from the toys shop quietly.
We went into Cotton On Kids, while browsing the kid shoes, and the kid apparel, I said to them, "No discount and not cheap, no buying". They would leave the shop quietly.
We went into Popular and MPH book stores, they said to me, "Mummy please, don't say No Buying, ok."
April was reading on the bed in the hotel.
While waiting for me to hop from shop to shop, she was reading on the bench.
Every time, I needed to rush her to close her book when I wanted to catch up with more shopping in other floors.

Only lil May would accompany me to go into each shop, their Papa would take a seat next to April outside the shop.

  3. Reading is a good habit, I wish mine would sit quietly to enjoy a book or two. But they give up after 10 mins. And they prefer to tag along for shopping :S

  4. I think May will likely become a shopping queen in the future, just like her mummy, hehehe :P

  5. Hahaha... I say the same thing to my boy whenever we walk into Toysrus or any toy shop but he knows he gets what he wants, most of the time when he steps into a bookshop. It's good that April loves reading.

  6. April really loves reading. Both of your girls are so obedient. Gwen doesn't ask to buy clothes (she is not bothered bout fashion) but she will definitely bug me for toys.

  11. Chloe is also a bookworm just like April! Although reading is a good habit, do take care of April's eyes... make sure she doesn't read for hours continuously. I regret not paying attention to Chloe's eye care and caused her to wear specs at such a young age *sobs* I still feel so heart-ache over this!

Hey, next time you're in KL again, must go to BookXcess (in Amcorp Mall) for cheap and good books :)

That is a good habit. It's good they can cultivate this habit of reading at such young age. Yours girls are very obedient and did not make a scene like some kids I have seen when they don't get what they want.
Good thing your hubby never says to you see only no buying ha ha. just kidding

  16. Haha...same things I mentioned to my girl whenever we visited any toy shops.
How I wish my girl is a bookworm too like April! Don't know why my girl prefer to read on her own only when she is at bookshop. At home, she always waited her papa to read for her unless the book is super interesting that she could not wait.

  17. Good habit to read, my daughter when little girl would sit on the floor to read while we choose clothes. Gotta stop her from reading in the car and once we reach the traffic lights she would open the book to continue reading even for a few minutes. She scored 'A's in English all the way from UPSR to Upper six. Bananaz never read any newspapers or books when schooling time, English very the char..
