Trip to Perlis

After coming back from yelling in excitment, wiping sweat and feeding juice, I suffered from bad UTI (Urine Tract Infection), due to holding my urine for too long and cutting down in water intake. It was a nightmare for me to visit the toilet at the place that it held the event.  I don't even want to think of the toilet now.

April was playing in the team, the double and also the individual games. Altogether she played in 5 matches. She won in 2 matches and lost in 3 matches. I had taken a few videos, butI have yet to upload in Youtube. I am proud of her result. Although I don't know when she will get herself her first medal in Ping Pong, she has now gained herself valuable experience and exposure in her first national game.

Picture on top is a hall called Wawasan 2020 that held this Ping Pong tournament. Picture at bottom is the banner of the event.

We left Perlis early on Sunday, as my husband needed to go to KL for his course on Sunday evening.
April was the only one not witnessing the closing ceremony with her team.

  23. So April is using the shakehand grip on the bat and not penhold grip. Bananaz can't handle the penhold grip prefer the shakehand from day one. Guess most players would prefer the shakehand grip nowadays.

    1. Bananaz can play ping pong too. Yan knows nothing about ping pong. April is taken care by a coach that I hire.

  28. Eh! I thought I am the only one with urine infections! I had serious ones a few times. So painful until I urinated out pieces of "seaweed" and I nearly fainted after looking at the alien discharge! Bluek!

    1. What! You urinated seaweed. I urinated blood, Annay. Urinated seaweed is very very serious already.

  29. Now I found a permanent cure that kept the problem at bay. I try to drink "Ural" powder every month and drink the cranberry juice mix often. This cranberry is the only berries that can heal any urine infections almost within hours without having to see doctor. I am very paranoid over this infections I had as my bladder could turn septic and discharged out white puss!!! Horrors!

    1. Annay, I must go supermarket to stock up Cranberry Juice a dozen at home. I visited two doctors and taking lots of antibiotics at the moment.

  33. Hi Yan, regret read of your tummy discomfort. I guess there are some public places even I wouldn't like to go to when the need arises.
I'm sure your April will one day soon make you proud of her, with her trophies displayed in the living room.
We have a lady friend here, she mother of 4 teenage kids, originally from Bentong, Raub....and even at her age of 45 she can still play a real mean game of table tennis.

Most of our friends here have table tennis tables in their basement, and so far not one of us have managed to beat her.
Every time I play against her, I lose straight sets! Malu la, ha ha.
    You have a nice day.
    Lee.

  41. Sorry to know about your unpleasant encounter with UTI. That's just part of life's ups-and-downs. Congratulations to April for being able to represent something substantial for her age in sports! Although there's no medal win for her yet, but never mind, at least get the experience first and then decide from there.

    P/S: I'll be posting up our meet-up soon! :-)
