Book addict

Both of my girls indeed love reading, and I actually feel proud of it. However, when their reading habit has started to interfere with their revision, homework, meal and sleep routine, I would definitely make some noise.

This evening, they had just finished their homework/revision and snacks, Papa wanted to trim their finger nails. April said "Wait a minute, Papa.", then she quickly ran to grab an English story book that I borrowed from CRC library.

Trimming finger nails took less than 5 minutes only, but she would seize the opportunity to read a few lines.

May, on the other hand, enjoys reading while sitting on the throne. She always takes forever to finish her big business, she makes me or her sister yell at her when we want to use the bathroom.

When April realized I snapping pictures of her, she used the book to cover up her face. Muahahahaha!

  1. It is very good that your kids love reading! It will give them hours of joy and pleasures from reading while you can shop and gym. Good!

  2. When I was young, knowledge books were so limited and almost unheard of besides comics and limited story books. I only read Enid Blyton and Hardy Boys when I was a kid. I thought I was privileged compared to my school peers. Time has changed now and kids are smarter than us!

  5. Reading is a good habit but when my boy overdoes it, this momster here roars! Hahaha... It has become so compulsive, not only bringing books to the toilet but to the dining table as well! He claims it's fair that reading is not allowed when eating but should be acceptable when drinking his bowl of soup or cup of Milo after eating is done! Blek..

  7. Reading is important as far as children are concerned,,, but then again, we must be careful of the materials that our children read,, for example, there are a few famous Chinese children, i find them to be quite disturbing, the language used and the ways the characters of the books "talk" ,,, one of them is the "durian and the princess" if you know what I mean???

  13. Reading is a very good habit. Most children nowadays are engrossed with ipads and smart phones, and not reading. I've been trying to cultivate reading habut with my boy too. I'm bringing a book with us every time we go out or going for a journey.
