I love exercise

5 years ago, my husband signed up the family package at one of the two recreation clubs in the town.
Upon joining the club, I took up the yoga lesson, my daughters started their ping pong lesson and we went to the pool occasionally.

After some time, I started working out in the gym and I got addicted. Since then, I went to the gym every evening on weekdays, and every morning on weekends. I make new friends there, I get socialized with different people from all walks of life.

I can easily spend 2 to 3 hours in the gym, I run my 7km here and 10km there, while chatting with other members to kill the boredom, otherwise Lite FM or My FM from radio are my best companions in the gym.

I love running because it gives me the confidence

I love exercise because I know I'm fitter and healthier!
This year, my fitness freak husband again signed up the promotion package at another recreation club in the town. Apparently this New Club has better equipment in the gym, nicer pool and new sauna facility. This has given me an alternative when I want to do exercise.
Exercise just makes me happier
I work out because it makes me feel great.

Exercise is the ultimate stress relieve
Other than working out in the gym, I had Zumba and Belly Dance once a week. On top of my work out in the gym, I take my girls to go swimming on Saturday, and hiking on Sunday.

I love exercise because it calms me down after a long day.

If I can push myself hard in the gym, it gives me the confidence that I can overcome obstacles outside the gym.

I use the time at the gym to think, release emotion, and relax.
It relieves my stress while simultaneously making me feel more confident about my body, so that I have the allowance to wear hot.

Nothing clears my head or makes me calmer than a good sweaty workout.
My skin looks healthier, I sleep better, and I get thirstier, so I drink more water.
It also provides “me time” to do something good for myself.

I am obsessed with running because it gives me a sense of accomplishment and peace of mind every time I do it, no matter what the distance or speed.
Every time I finish a run, I feel as though I'm back at zero, as if all my worries and problems have been realigned.

Thank Goodness, my spouse is addictive to fitness as much as I am.

  3. Waaah! So many fit photos and promotions for the club! They should hire you to be their face celebrity to endorse their brand with all the confidence you have now. I agree that exercise will calm our emotions and remove stress too. I am more worried about our weak limbs during old age after seeing my parents' conditions. We need to exercise as long as we can. I know one lady here in KL who has always been the oldest triathlon participant and she is around 70 years old. She is fit as fiddle and almost Zero Fats. I should look for her and interview her for my blog, yeah.....

Jin Jin is the best father who knows what's best for the family!!!

    1. Zero fat at 70 years old, that's amazing. We gain weight due to aging and hormonal reason. Yannie still have fat here and there. May be Yannie can't resist certain food, such as durian. I am greedy, that's my weak point.
All in all, exercise makes me a happy person.

I wish I could go to gym regularly too but I would like to make sure to stay more active this year so maybe I can fix my schedule to at least attend the gym session twice or thrice a week... how many hours do you spend in gym by the way? I tried zumba once but since I do not know how to dance, i quit immediately LOL

  7. I wish I can have more ME time to exercise too. As for now, the only fresh air time I get is the playground time with Ayden and I'll try my best to run and play with him for a workout..

  10. wah, Yannie goes to the gym EVERYDAY!! that's very motivated of her, and sure no rugi to sign up the package, fully utilize the facilities, hehe!! and with the influence from Yannie, JAM also slowly got addicted already?? that's good, one whole family doing the same thing that everyone likes.. :)

now only Uncle SK knows AM learned ping-pong from the club!!! wow, amazing, they started in the club and then went on to KO all other players in nationwide competitions and tournaments!! so, when are they representing Malaysia in international matches?? Uncle SK is very confident there will be this day leh~~ :)

okay back to Yannie, and we all see results from her faithful visits to the gym, didn't we?? she bagged the 3rd in the King of Bukit Larut run, and yet her maiden run, that's something to be proud of huh?? all the sweat and pain and panting in the gym sure got paid off, and Yannie is going to go further aren't you?? next, some half-marathons maybe?? :)

of course I must agree with Yannie that exercising is a good way to distress and relax oneself.. I don't like to talk when I'm in the gym too, so I'll put on my earphones and listen to music.. and I think Yannie got so many things to do inside the gym also.. running, group exercise, meeting with friends, listening to music, and most of all SELFIE!! and I think when you get one nice selfie, you are delighted for the whole day, haha!! :)

    1. Now, I can have more choices in my exercise. I run, I hike, I dance and I swim. So much fun and I can sweat all out. I love making friends with others. I have friends in the gym, in the dance hall, in the hill, in the pool, and in the sauna. They are from ages, I learn so many things from them.

I have less time to worry and sweat over small things, as I am too occupied with my exercise.

Oh yes, I love Selfie especially my skin looks so good after sweating in the gym.

I used to exercise quite regularly (and I love Zumba too) but now that I just gave birth not too long ago, I need some time to hit the gym again!
