May is nine today

Today is my little May 9 years old birthday. We have celebrated her birthday in advance on weekend.

Look! Her big sister too, stick a post-it marker on the calendar.
April wrote "阿臭生日", we called May as 阿臭(stinky) at home. lol! Because she is very funny and silly at time.

I always want them to get ready their going-to-school stuffs such as handkerchief, underwear, socks and shorts one day before. However, this stinky May would put her 5 days going-to-school stuffs on her study table on the Sunday evening. Faint!
She lines all her stuffs that she is going to use from Monday to Friday on weekends. Should I praise her for getting ready in advance or should I label her as lazy bum?

Just like her big sister, she is doing well in her study so far. I am proud of her.

Besides, she is a sweet, easy-going, and happy girl.

Her favorite food is those spicy noodle soup, such as curry, tomyam, prawn noodles and laksa.

I wish my little May "Happy Birthday! Stay happy and healthy forever."

Her birthday dinner was at Shin Japanese Restaurant, her birthday cake was Fruit Cake from LA Promise. It was just a simple celebration among JAMY. She claimed that she was extremely full after finishing her favorite udon.

We are the champions

Last Saturday, I went to my company team building and annual dinner event at Bukit Merah Lake Town Resort. We had so much fun and we were also the champion of  our annual dinner talent performance. I shall let the picture do the talking.

1. We arrived about 8am, after registration at the counter, we took some pictures before the event started. Happy!

2. The event started with an aerobic session under the sun. Yannie sweat and burned so much calories. Happy!

3. Team building activities were planned by the resort. I and my team members were actively participating in all games. Yannie has no problem climbing up the wall or dipping in the pool, but Yannie faint when needing Yannie to catch an eel.T___T

4. Team building activities ended at 3pm. A group picture before everyone departed and got ready for the annual dinner which hold in the hall at Bukit Merah Lake Town Resort too.

5. I joined the dance performance of my department. In order to suit our dance song in Cantonese,Old Time Buddy (难兄难弟),  I dressed in 60's fashion. I always like the fashion of 60's, happy!

6. While waiting for our turn, we watched other departments doing their performance. There were singing solo, singing in a group, dancing, dramas and live band with musical instruments. We also had free flow of beer. Happy!

7. My department was the number 6 performance. We only took 4 days, 2 hours per day to practice the dance steps together after work before the date.

8. When the result was announced, we were the champions of the talent show competition. Yannie and team were overjoyed. Happy!

9. The top 3 best performances took a group picture, then we, the champion performed our dance again before the whole event ended. Happy!

10. We spotted these old school spectacle frames at one of the souvenir shops at the resort, and it had become one of our accessories of our 60's fashion, other than hair bands and big earrings.

I truly enjoy the event and the performance. Furthermore, we won the champion and this had become one of the best memories in my working life with my colleagues.

King of Bukit Larut 2015, Bravo!

Thanks folks for wishing me good luck to be King of Bukit Larut 2015. I am very happy and very proud of being at the 3rd place in 10KM category women's open. This was my virgin run on hiking trail, and it was running uphill 5km and downhill 5km at my lovely hometown Bukit Larut. I feel that all my hard work and time spent training for hours in the gym every day is all paid off. I did it and the result has told me that I am doing good in my exercise routine.

Posing for the album before the flag off
I wanted to thank my husband for sending me there and watching my two girls at home when I taking part in the run. He just said, "Good luck!" and left me there with other runners from everywhere. I met Mak Glam there, she was really glam in her running outfits until I could spot her far far away.

Despite of feeling shortness of breath after 3km, I could force a smile when seeing camera facing me.
1 KM before the U Turn station, some male runners going downhill told me that I was the top few female runners in my category. There was a chance for winning. First time I had that thought.

Going downhill, I was overtaken by 1 female runners and few male runners.
I brought nothing with me in my run, except a face towel. Yannie bathed in own sweat.

I reached finishing line and I felt terribly "High" when hearing the emcee announcing my bib number for being the 2nd runner up. (Thanks Zaini for taking this picture)
First time, I heard so many people cheering and clapping for me. I felt so energetic, youthful and happy.

Wearing the 3rd Place tag and feeling so proud of myself.
I quickly borrowed a phone from my colleague to call home. First, I wanted to share my happiness with them and second, I wanted them to come and witnessed me receiving prize.

Receiving goodies bag, medal and cash money from the sponsor and organizer.
I never thought of bagging anything in the beginning of the run. My achievement has brought me tremendous satisfaction.

Exhaustion and excitement, the emotion made me lose my interest to food. I didn't take any nasi lemak, watermelon and bananas that served at the foot of the hill. I only took a bowl of Cendol and many cups of 100% Plus to quench my thirst.

The official result of King Of Bukit Larut 2015
After this first run on trail, I haven't signed up any run. I thought of giving myself a break from my training. I just want to enjoy my exercise regime, such as swimming, gym, zumba, and yoga at the mean time.
